The St. Thomas Institute for Science and Technology (STIST) was established on 2010 by the Mar Thoma Church Educational Society, Trivandrum who are pioneering educators with an excellent track record of more than 50 years.

The Patron is Most Rev. Dr Joseph Mar Thoma Metropolitan and the President is Rt. Rev.Joseph Mar Barnabas, Bishop of the Thiruvananthapuram - Kollam Diocese of the Mar Thoma Church.

The Society runs four reputed English medium,co-educational Schools - St. Thomas Residential School (ICSE Syllabus), St Thomas Central School (CBSE Syllabus), St. Thomas Higher Secondary School (State Syllabus), St. Thomas Public School and a Teacher’s Training College- (St Thomas Training College).

The basic academic philosophy of STIST is to establish itself as a Centre of Excellence in the field of Science and Technology and to train the young minds who will pass through its portals to become brilliant professionals with commitment to human values. Every effort will be made for the development of all facets of the mind culminating in an intellectual and balanced personality.
