The Department of Physical Education, St. Thomas Institute for Science & Technology, Trivandrum, is in existence since the college inception in 2010. The department organizes a variety of indoor & outdoor sports activities round the year, including an annual athletic meet. The department also takes care of the student participation in various external competitions like: "inter-college, zonal meets, inter-zone tournaments, university meets, national level competitions, friendly matches etc." The department has several laurels & accolades to its credit accumulated over the past several years. The department has trained many students to excel in their choice of sporting activity. The department regularly receives grants from the university to conduct zonal & inter-zone tournaments.
