B.Tech Lateral Entry 2026
B.Tech Lateral Entry Programme is a continuation of technical expertise acquired after completing Diploma programmes and offers an opportunity for Diploma holders to obtain a B.Tech Degree in Engineering.
10% of the sanctioned seats in each B.Tech programme are allotted for Lateral Entry admission during the commencement of the third semester. These seats are in addition to the regular intake.
Duration: The duration of the programme is 3 years, as candidates are admitted directly to the second year (third semester) of the regular B.Tech programme.

Eligibility
- Candidates who have passed a three-year Diploma Examination in Engineering/Technology (two years in the case of Lateral Entry Diploma) or D.Voc from State Boards of Technical Education, Universities, or Institutions under the Government of India, studying in AICTE-approved institutions, with at least 45% aggregate marks (40% for reserved category candidates) are eligible to apply.
- Candidates who have passed a B.Sc. Degree from a UGC-recognized University with 45% aggregate marks (40% for reserved category candidates) and have studied Mathematics at the 10+2 level are also eligible to apply.
