Computer Science and Engineering Laboratories

Operating Systems Lab

Operating Systems Lab using C provides hands-on experience on OS concepts through a constructivist, problem-oriented learning approach. It is fundamental for understanding system-level programming. The lab also hosts Data Structures Lab and System Software Lab in different semesters.

Data Structures Lab introduces students to arrays, linked lists, stacks, queues, trees, and graphs, building a solid programming foundation.

  • Equipments: Intel i3, 16 GB RAM – 30 Computers
  • Software: GCC Compiler
  • OS: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, Windows 11

Database Lab

Equipped with DBMS, servers, and tools for hands-on training in design and implementation. It allows real-world application development. Programming in C Lab is also conducted here.

DB Lab
  • Equipments: Intel i3, 8 GB RAM – 32 Systems
  • Software: MySQL, GCC Compiler
  • OS: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, Windows 11

Microprocessor Lab

This lab provides hands-on experience with microcontrollers and assembly-level programming. It includes interfacing devices and understanding system software concepts.

  • Equipments: 8086 Trainer Kit: 10, CRO, DAC boards, Stepper motor setup, 6 PCs with Intel i3, 4 GB RAM
  • Software: ASM Assembler
  • OS: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, Windows XP

Networking Lab

Equipped with tools to design, implement, and troubleshoot networks. Simulators support real-world scenario testing. OOP Lab using Java is also held here, covering OOP concepts and GUI programming.

  • Software: GCC, NS2, ANSI C, javac

Compiler Design Lab

This lab focuses on implementing compiler phases and understanding translation of high-level code. Programming in C Lab is also conducted here.

  • OS: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, Windows 10

Project & Design Lab

This lab supports full project development cycles and fosters innovation and collaboration through practical implementation of ideas.

  • Equipments: Intel i5, 32 GB RAM – 10 Computers
  • Software: VS Code, PyTorch, LaTeX, Jupyter, React
  • OS: Windows 11
