Description : Student community will be trained on engine assembly, experimental analysis of performance parameters of petrol and diesel engines, compressors, blower, viscosity measurement, calorific value, flash and firepoint measurement of fuel

Description : Students will be trained in analyzing various modes of heat transfer occurring in equipments and its effects, determining thermal conductivity phenomena in solids and liquids, analyzing the effectiveness of heat exchanger, refrigeration and air conditioning basics.

Equipments: Emissivity apparatus, Lagged pipe, Composite wall apparatus, Thermal conductivity of liquids, Free and forced convection, Parallel and Counter flow heat exchangers, Refrigeration and Airconditioning test rig, Thermocouple calibration, Dead weight pressure gauge tester.

LAB NAME: Machine tools lab

Description : Students receive appropriate training in the use of cutting-edge machine tools in this lab, including shaping, slotting, and milling machines. It works in tandem with the machine tools lab to improve practical abilities and raise awareness of things like equipment maintenance and safety procedures. This lab exposes students to crucial machining techniques that are employed in the business. It provides practical training for using lathes, drilling machines, and welding equipment (TIG, MIG and Gas Welding).

LAB NAME: Alternative Energy Research Center

Description : The Alternative Energy Research Center (AERC) intends to design and develop innovative solutions for addressing the challenges of alternate energy resources in various fields. The centre aims to create an eco-system having skilled resources as well as innovation infrastructure. AERC designs and develops innovative solutions for addressing the challenges in the following thrust areas. Advanced research in these thrust areas helps the institute, state and country in moving towards achieving the sustainable development goals.
